چکیده

Abstract Objective To elucidate the differences in etiology of dyskinetic cerebral palsy (DCP) between term-born and preterm-born children its relationship to functional outcomes. Methods We determined DCP based on clinical course brain MRI 163 136 children. Information about genetic abnormality was also collected if available. Functional outcomes were compared two major etiologies each group, i.e., hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) bilirubin (BE), using four standardized classification systems, Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), Manual Ability (MACS), Communication (CFCS), Eating Drinking (EDACS). Results The most common HIE (123/163) BE (93/136) Genetic mutations identified 14 30 with no other known etiology. GMFCS levels preterm significantly poorer than those term (p  Conclusion is different children, distribution impairment influenced by gestational age. difference should be taken into consideration allow provision adequate interventions.

Results: Dyskinesia accounts for approximately 20 percent in all types of cerebral palsy. The primary semiological features of dyskinetic cerebral palsy are voluntary motion disorders with increased involuntary movements which may show various combined symptoms such as torsion spasm, dystonia, chorea, athetosis and so on. Dyskinesia due to hypoxic ischemic brain injury and bilirubin encephalopa...
